Dear
D. A. Grout Families and Friends,
We
are all partners in helping our students to achieve higher
academic standards. To support our young learners in their
quest for excellence, teachers are receiving more training
about the new standards and how to incorporate them into the
curriculum. As all of us expect more of our children and from
ourselves, we will begin to see our efforts pay off. Parents,
you are the most important factor in your child's academic
success. Some things that you will want to do on a consistant
basis:
-
Expect more and you'll get more
-
Become familiar with our school and your child's
teacher
-
Make sure your child comes to school on time and
prepared to work
-
Review all homework
-
Read to and with your child every night
-
Talk with your child's teacher
The
world of work for our students will require that they know more
and have a solid foundation for their middle school and high
school years. We can do that together.
